  • The other good options around this price range include the Fiio FH1, RHA MA650, and the Meze 12 Classics. However, I really prefer the Apaisant’s sound signature over the others. In fact, the Soundsly Apaisant made me forget about the FiiO F9 Pro, which is not an easy task for a pair of IEMs that costs about half as much as the F9 Pro. I’d easily slot the Soundsly Appaisant in my top three earphones under Rs 5,000. - By Ershad Kaleebullah at themrphone.com.
  • The Soundsly Apaisant in-ear headphones aren’t something you’ll have likely heard of. However, it is Indian at heart, and is engineered for clean audio output. It’s also among the most affordable hybrid-driver headphones you can buy right now. If you enjoy a balanced, neutral sound, the Soundsly Apaisant is one of the best headsets you can buy right now at under Rs 5,000. - By Ali Pardiwala at www.bgr.in
  • If you are a person who likes Balanced and Neutral sound signature, then Soundsly Apaisant is highly recommended. This earphone is made from an Indian brand and gets a thumbs up from our side for a very good try and we hope to see more products from the brand soon. - By TechUNeed.

I bought this only in Aug 22

I have handled it with extreme care as it feels fragile esp cable joints, but today the housing on the left earphone came off as i was taking it out of my ear, it feels like the glue that was holding that gave up.

How do i fix this, can you service it for me? Really disappointed as someone who loves the audio quality.

A Masterpiece! Best Tuned IEM!

Disadvantages

Yes, no products are perfect and have some disadvantages for their non-stop further improvements, thus Apaisant also has.

It sits in the ears well for a long time with no pain or discomfort, but not that much of a plush fit. Though it seals well and has very good noise isolation. Perfectly usable for outdoor, but not secure enough while running.

It's built quality is not it's a disadvantage, but the overall design definitely falls in this category. The quality of wires, shell and drivers are rather excellent and will last long, but they could have offered a better-looking ear-shaped angled shell, a removable braided cable with an over the ear design.

No disadvantages in audio I can find even though I gave it all kind of challenges.

Sound Quality

Oh, what an experience man!!!!! The first track I heard with it is a Dolby Digital advertisement video. Oh my god, I couldn't believe as it feels I am in a movie theatre which no other IEMs gave me till now. It was a pure trippy feel. I use no Amp for this. Straight out from my Samsung A50s. It truly delivers that coherent and out of the head experience. Once I fell from my bike while riding. I catch my Apaisant from falling and let my pillion wife fell down. Now she is extremely possessive with this IEM. That tells how much I LOVE this IEM. Loosing this will definitely cause heartbreak for me.

I listen to all Genre of music, lots of Movies, Audiobooks etc. No FLAC files, 99% online streaming from YouTube, Amazon, Netflix etc. Also using a Tempotec Sonata HD pro portable Amp. It's a nice addition for rising the volume even more, but not mandatory as our smartphones are capable enough to drive them well.

The provided extra Ostry OS200 tips are good, has an inside metal grill which will tam the tribble and stage a bit, also removes some sparkle from upper mids which makes vocals sound better (or a bit different). But for more fuller n wide sound I like the stock medium tips more.

The most highlights of this IEMs are, selection of drivers, it's wide nozzle size, and the MOST PRECISE TURNING which is nothing less than a MASTERY level. It's clear that they took good time and effort to passionately tune it to perfection. It's easily one of the best turned IEM.

I don't want to separate the sound review as lows, mids and highs. Because all three are excellent and highlighted equally, hence taking about the overall audio experience could be better here in this case.

The very immediate audio difference I hear is the sheer layering of all the instruments and vocals across the soundstage which has a good natural airy feel to it.

The soundstage itself is not as wide as an open back full-sized headphone. It just managed to give an out of the head experience, which is intimate and better layered. The soundstage is above average, where all other IEMs expect some few high-end IEMs have a maximum of an average soundstage. Has good weight and thickness to the sound, clear, and natural. It's the best example of using an above average soundstage to its maximum use, and the sheer beauty of its tuning where no sound is rather prominent or not prominent. Everything sounds soo much coherent and exactly where it has to be. It managed to pitch exactly between an extra-wide stage of an open back headphone and an inside head feel of most of the IEMs.

The bass is quick, extremely thumping, full sounding, can hear the bass very much separately from all other sounds, makes it one of the best fun listening experience of quality bass.

It's true for mids and highs as well. The mids and vocals sound not forward nor recessed. Exactly where it has to be. We can hear each vocal separate and coming from different mics even for a group singing. Which is amazing. Both the male and female sound equal, emotional and intimate. It can pick as many minute details possible. Highs sound crispy, massively extended but not at all harsh or peaky in its entire length. No sibilance at all. It's the best tribble experience I heard from any IEMs.

It has an amazing talent to handle the volume when compared to another low res IEMs. It's like riding on a duke 250 at 100km/hr vs a 125cc bike at the same speed. It sounds good with less volume too. Never feel uncomfortable even if we raise the volume knob more than the before considered highest volume. Very comfortable sound for a long time listening section or for Movies.

If this is your first IEM upgrading from so-called bass-heavy budget wired or Bluetooth buds, trust me u r gonna have a roller coaster feel. With excitement, I have been giving everyone around me to have a listening experience with my new setup, and everyone Blon Away by its sound.

Let it be any genre, all tracks sound amazing with Apaisant. Especially tracks having good bass attacks and tribble extension. It's also amazing to watch Movies with this beauty. Many songs which were before out of my playlist started getting in.

A great start to serious critical listening

This is my first good earphone and the only decent piece I can compare to is the B&O earphones that come free with LG V30. Been spending a lot of time on audio blogs and Blogs I feel I can pass some judgement on Soundsly but do account my limited experience and knowledge.
1. The first thing I noted with these earphones is the AIRINESS in the whole soundstage, everything felt quite OPEN and LIVELY. The whole presentation to me especially when listening to rock and metal is as if I am hearing the music in MEDIUM-SIZED BAR.
2. The second thing I noted is the vocals are so darn CLEAR. Listening to very heavy metal genres I thought it was understandable to not understand most of what the singer was saying but on this vocals are clearly audible and I don't find myself searching lyrics nearly as much.
3. I noticed the CRISPINESS, CRUNCH and ATTACK of strings in guitars or most string instruments which I never heard before.
4. In most songs instrument separation is quite excellent but sometimes on heavy complex tracks, it gets a bit hard to track. I noted this in some Opeth songs.
5. Shouty high reaching vocals can be quite a bit and harsh like in Avenged Sevenfold, Heart and Vintersea.
6. Old recording with a lot of background noise can be unbearable on this earphone.
7. Symbol strikes got me addicted to treble. They are so CRISP and SHINNY. I always heard symbols in muted forms in all my previous consumer-grade audio gear.
8. They work very well with acoustic tracks. Always feeling very LIVELY and DYNAMIC. They are so good at this front that a week ago I got this feeling that these would work incredibly with Jazz-Rock and now I am spending more and more time on this genre.
9. The bass is TIGHT and AMPLE. It isn't hard at all to clearly make out the 4 string bassline. Although at 5 strings it can be a bit of a challenge.
10. This earphone played Led Zeppelin Black Mountain Side so well that I am now always looking for good songs with tabla and sitar. Instruments sound really good on this earphone especially compared to general consumer audio gear.
All in all bass is tight and punchy with great oomph. Vocals are detailed and express. Treble is sparkly. Though some screaming vocalist can be painful. This earphone could be quite a revelation like it has been for me.

Thank you for posting a review on these. :) We are glad you liked it.

Best IEM I have heard under 5k

Got the Soundsly Apaisant a few days back. There are many reviews praising Apaisant and believe me they are all true. Build quality is great, metal body and cables are very strong. Looks gorgeous. Open back IEM but sound leakage is minimal, so won't bother anyone around you. Three buttons remote(play/pause plus volume control) with a mic is a very nice add-on. Call clarity is great. But we buy an IEM for its sound quality and hence let's jump to that without wasting time.

Heads up: I don't know much about technical terms (I am learning gradually though), so this entire review is in informal audiophile language!

Instruments are the main thing you will love in this IEM. They sound lively, airy and so natural that if you listen in a moderate volume you will forget that the sound is coming from an IEM. I was listening to "Kangna tera ni" and when the breaking-of-glass-sound part came, thought that some glass broke near me. I had to plug out one earpiece and check my surroundings. True story.
Tried some Eric Clapton songs and the guitar strings amazed me.
Listened to a Bengali folk song (Dharo charan chorona), and I can't explain the sound of instruments now (tabla beats) except for one word: "HEAVENLY".
The separation is so good between instruments like onion, you can differentiate between layers easily.

Now coming to vocals. At first, I thought them to be a little bright. Tried Ostry tips(included with the package), problem solved. Bass increased. But I felt a tiny bit of compromise with Instruments. So changed to stock tips. Listened for an hour or two and then the sound kind of grew on me. (Pehle ye mujhe bright lagte the, ab nahi lagte - Telebrand situation) I loved it with stock tips thereafter.

Now when it comes to bass I make no compromises. People may judge bassheads and I can't help it that I am one. I can't compromise the instruments either and Apaisant fits here perfectly. No compromise in the punchy bass with crystal clear instruments. Bass doesn't bleed to other categories.

If you ask me, this is the best under 5k category. Found it more lively and natural sounding than even Tin Audio T2, but again Hey!! That's only my opinion. So check it out before you buy as hifinage has a home audition program.

An amazing Indian product!!!

I have little to add after what all has been written by earlier reviewers. No doubt the product is excellent. Made in India was the give in, and it did not disappoint. Bass is nice. Listening to Marian Hill's Breathe into me was an experience. I have deducted marks on sound for not a perky mid. Maybe the engineers were focusing on the frequency curves or this IEM requires a third driver. Treble was nice too but not shiny. Overall, a very nice product. If you listen for about 20 minutes, you will forget what I have written above. Comfortable for ears, though not meant for workouts. Great soundstage for an in-ear. Solidly built. Another place I did not score was the price. With the sound these buds are coming with, I would put them at 2K - 2.5K. Also, in times of overnight delivery, I got them in 6 days (which was proposed though). All said and done, a fantastic effort by Soundsly (Hifinage). Request them to improve the mids and treble to make it a complete package. Very close to becoming an international brand.

My review after the complete burn-in:

I would like to start with a disclaimer: what you hear from an in-ear or over-ear headphones is completely dependent on what you like to hear and how your ears are tuned....it is a very personal choice; and the recording itself. Having said that, the same music can sound different on different earpieces. While learning music, I became interested in listening to it back (to make it better). This is when I landed a few years back on the audio zone. Having tried Creative, Mi Pro HD, Soundmagic, Focal, Superlux and ATH (on ears), I wondered how many in-ears are available with open back. To my surprise, Soundsly Apaisant was sitting next door. At 4k it took me some time to convince myself to buy it. I finally gave in to open back, balanced armature, and... Made in India. After all, how many stickers do we see with 'Made in India' these days? And the Apaisant did surprise me. The packaging was decent and professional. The buds themselves are made of metal and are comfortable to hold. Feels professional. I did not find a need to roll the wire over my ears to be comfortable. The buds I got came with multiple kinds of tips. This was a good feature, as I could test the best tip to fit my music. Believe it or not, the tips, yes the 'siliconised' (depending on which brand you have) tips which just sit in the ear and do nothing, are a very important part of the listening experience. Having a choice did let me identify the genre which matched with the right tip. The company is approaching its audience with an understanding of the subject! Once the fit was set, I did not feel any tension from the wire or feeling of buds dropping out. Though, they may not sit tight during workouts. The wire did provide some hustle, which subdued with an increase in the volume. Coming to the sound after the best fit combination. Starting with the fit - you have to find the best tip for that. Else, there will be problems with the buds. For testing, I tried Stank (Experience in Space and Time) and Full moon in Paris (Amber Rubarth). First thing I noted was that the sound was set more in front rather than in-the-skull. The open back shows its effect. Also, the stage opened up by a few degrees on either side. These in-ears are not bass heavy but can provide enough for you to enjoy the punches now and then. A very good option for online movie lovers. Trebles are not sparkling but well balanced. Difficult to find something seriously wrong at this end. There is a slight depression of the mids. I would not call it muffled. It just needs a tad bit of push. A good amp would do that. Again, all this information when I was sitting to compare these in-ears with what I have heard with other models (not to forget comparing different classes of headphones to set the best reference). There was some leakage into the ears (but then these are open backs). On the other hand, there was not too much sound going out. Should not be an issue while riding the bus or metro. Overall, I would have to hunt to find something of this quality in the Indian markets now. So far a very good Indian effort. I would have given five stars except for the slight suppression of the mids. Maybe a third driver would bring in more focus in this area. With the current configuration, I would like the price to be reduced. With some modifications/tuning, Apaisant can turn out to be an international brand.
