The ultimate goal of beginner's IEMs
The CHU rose to prominence as the most widely used in-ear earphone in its price range and generated many copycats. As a result, “CHU 2” appears with innovative decentralized materials and technology.
Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Dome Composite Diaphragm
The high stiffness and lightweight properties of AI-Mg alloy as a dome diaphragm material enable it to widen the treble bandwidth and reveal finer details. Two polymer materials with unique properties make up the diaphragm suspension, which produces a punchier bass and less non-linear distortion. Until, only a few high-end in-ear headphones and full-size headphones used this AI-Mg alloy technology. The “CHU 2” is the first low-cost IEM to utilise what we once thought to be a expensive diaphragm material.
Cavity for Alloy Casting
Ensuring Robustness and A High-Caliber Texture
The "CHU 2" acoustic cavity is created using MOONDROP'S sophisticated alloy casting process, which ensures stiffness and fine texture. Corrosion is prevented on the metal shell with a sturdy paint coating.
Brass CNC Acoustic Nozzle
A separate brass CNS component is used to make the "CHU 2" nozzle, providing greater precision and density, as well as a lovely timbre.
Replaceable Acoustic Nozzle
It included a new generation of replaceable acoustic filters in CHU 2. Detaching the front end of the brass nozzle makes swapping out the acoustic filter simple and quick for users. Compared to current multi-layer filters, replacement is simpler, and the design increases reliability. The cost is lower than conventional nozzles in the event of blockage or damage.
Tuning for Wide-band Response Benchmark
Senior acoustic engineers and audiophiles with extensive training and understanding tuned CHU 2, which has a fantastic frequency response curve that matches the VSDF target response. The dome diaphragm’s natural refined sound, rich timbre and imaging, and ultra-wide response frequency band are all delivered by the alloy of aluminium and magnesium.
Ultra-low Non-linear Distortion
Reproduction of Subtle Details
The CHU 2 offers a nonlinear full-frequency distortion of around 0.05%, resulting in natural timbre and the reproduction of even the minute details. The advanced technology and precise design of the diaphragm material made this possible.
