The KZ ZEX has a unique driver configuration and combination, with one 6.8mm electrostatic driver and one 10mm dual magnetic dynamic driver delivering professional-grade sound. The high- and ultra-high-frequency reproduction is handled by the low-voltage electrostatic driver, while the mid and low-frequency reproduction is handled by the dual magnetic dynamic driver.
