Excellent performance for a small priceThis review is for the no-mic variant. So I don't know how the microphone performs. Pros: Though these cost sub 500 INR, they sound brilliant. The details are quite good and the soundstage is decent as well (reasonably open). Mid Bass is quite good with a hint of sub-bass. I have added 2 layers of the included foams on each earphone to improve the bass response. Clear vocals and non-sibilant treble. The sound signature of these is V-shaped. Sounds better than the ear-pods included with iPhone. Quality of construction is excellent with heavy wires which reduce cable movement. Cons: Due to the size of these earphones, it may not fit for everyone and even for those it fits, you cannot wear it comfortably for more than 60 to 90 minutes. Sub-bass extension is just noticeable but lacks the impact of much costlier IEMs. Because of the open soundstage design, isolation is poor and you need a calm environment to enjoy these earphones. Microphonics from the cable is present when the cable is moved, but not too bad. Conclusion: These are cult earphones which are internationally well acclaimed. Everyone should own one of these just to see how great these sound compared to the options in the market at just a fraction of the cost.

Value For MoneyI give four stars because of lack of bass, forgetting the optimal base you need to listen to at high volumes for the woofers to pump. Satisfied, value for money.

Value for moneyThis is must for the music lovers in this price range. The sound is very clear with that bass for the house-lovers. The design is a nice metal body so these are bit heavy that's why I gave four-star to build. The delivery was very fast, package intact.

A comparison of GR07 BE, GR07 Classic and RE-400Having listened to the Vsonic's GR07 BE and GR07 Classic, and Hifiman's RE-400, I wanted to give a few suggestions to those who are looking to buy any of these. Bass: The GR07 BE has the more bass of them all but still the tonality of the original GR07 has been preserved. It is quite tastefully done too as the bass never bleeds into the mids. It rectifies a couple of minors, how should I put it, annoyances of the GR07 Classic and introduces a couple more. Let me explain: (1) The GR07 Classic has also a very mild bass boost, but its sub-bass probably rolls off too fast and I often find myself straining to hear it. This is true even in comparison to the Hifiman RE-400 which has a more linear bass. The BE's bass boost, which lifts the sub-bass back to where it should be, is particularly noticeable coming from the Classic version. However, instead of boosting only the sub-bass, the entire bass range is lifted by a couple of decibels and it doesn't sound natural to me. (2) The added bass-boost of the BE's offsets the somewhat splashy and sibilant treble of the GR07s, which is a good thing. But again, the mids sound noticeably recessed because of this. However, note that the RE-400 is no slouch when it comes to speed and texture of the bass, although I find it a bit lacking at times. The trick is to "not ask" for more bass from it. Wait (like a few weeks) for it to hit home, and when it does it is magical! Mids: I've always liked how the Hifiman RE-400's are tuned and I can say with confidence that no other dynamic driver comes close to the lushness and texture of their mids. The GR07 Classic sounds a bit thin and dry next to the RE-400. Again, the BE has the least midrange clarity of the three. I found it a bit too recessed for my tastes. Treble: Now the GR07 Classic has a reasonably good treble extension. If only it wasn't splashy/sibilant. The BE fares better in this aspect entirely because of its boosted bass. And with the RE-400 the treble rolls off very fast and is kind of unnatural, but it's nothing you can't live with. However, they are silky smooth and far more forgiving compared to the Vsonics. I enjoyed them best on long listening sessions. Soundstage: After much listening, I feel that the RE-400s are much more rounded whereas the GR07s are more wide than deep. Build Quality: When it comes to build quality they all fall short. The RE-400 has too fine and fragile a cable that can easily get caught between crevices, and while the GR07's have a thicker cable, they don't have a proper strain relief near the earbuds and can easily fail (My GR07 failed!). So if you buy any of these, take care of them like you'll take care of your lover! TL;DR: If you come from cheaper/consumer-oriented earphones (or) if you're not sure which one to choose, then you can't go wrong with the GR07 Bass Edition. If you're after a more natural sound, and you know that you are not sensitive to sibilance then go for the GR07 Classic. And last but not the least, if you are okay with slightly less impactful bass and slightly mid-centric sound then the RE-400 provides a more well-rounded experience. That said, the RE-400 is the earphone that has the least number of flaws out of the bunch, but it may not be for all.

Nearly perfect packageI went by the few reviews I found on the net and decided to buy these. Without a doubt, these are excellent speakers for the money. There are better ones out there but way above this price range. The support at HiFiNage was very good - quick to respond to questions and very courteous. I found them reassuring since I've never dealt with them before. The speakers arrived in good shape but the original packaging could have been better - it looked old. Other than that, absolutely nothing to complain about.

Amazing piece with each extraordinary quality of soundI just purchased one earphone, the appearance was not so attractive but when we wear it is comfortable and the quality of sound is amazing to hear. It is worth for the money paid.

Appreciate the true science behind them...I bought F&D A520 speakers just two months back because of the good reviews and less price they had on Flipkart. But then I came across Swans M10 reviews on net and got very excited about how they would be. And I could not resist but call HifiNage and placed an order. Yesterday I got my speakers very nicely packed and shipped safely to my home. I eagerly opened them and plugged them with my laptop hoping they would be at par with my expectations. And man when I heard them I was blown with the clarity and music stage they had. They are not power speakers and they don't produce mega bass but they sound so realistic and complete. If you close your eyes and listen to them you can not make out the positions of speakers. The music fills up your whole room. I will say that we as Indians are not that fortunate to have so many competitors around in such advanced field of acoustics. I will highly recommend these speakers if you are always concerned about the sound quality. Don't expect typical boom bass and too loud volume from them but if you appreciate the true science behind them, they are worth every penny...

Unbelievable!Sound Quality is, in a word, awesome. Unbelievably crisp and clear highs and mids. I had to re-listen to my music collection because it was my ears had suddenly become more sensitive! Lows are adequate for me - Rock, Metal, Prog, even Classical sounds great. May not be enough for hip-hop or dubstep, but I don't listen to those. The soundstage is good, once you've set them up correctly, which in my case is with the satellites on the desk, slightly directed upwards to ear, and the sub on the desk too, in the middle. I can identify where the sounds are supposed to be coming from, especially in well-mastered live recordings. Loudness is good enough for near-field listening, but not that loud to really fill a 10 by 12 room. I had a pair of Audioengine's A2s earlier, and there is simply no comparison! This one blows the A2s straight out! Build quality is the only thing I disliked. Coming from the solidly built A2s, this one feels flimsy. Satellites feel too light, the connecting wires, too fragile, and well. They had to compromise somewhere, and I'm glad they compromised on this and not on the sound quality. Value for Money- 11/10. Enough said. Support and Service- 11/10. I had some issues with the shipment but the seller was very helpful in sorting them out, and I really troubled him a lot to settle things. Really nice dealing with him.

Excellent sound quality which you very rarely expect from computer speakers...I previously owned creative inspire speakers and was on a search on the internet for upgrading my speakers. I came across this great looking Swan M10 speakers. Most of the reviews from many audiophile sites & forums gave a hint that it not just looks great, but produce excellent sound too, especially considering the price. I made an immediate decision to buy these speakers, even without any audition and ordered it through hifinage, the only dealer available to import and ship in India. I received the shipment last week, neatly packed by hifinage. I hooked up the system and immediately noticed a great world of difference from my earlier creative speakers. It produced excellent SQ with tight bass - it is tight and not the boomy bass - and I began to notice many music bits and pieces, which were hidden in my old speakers. Overall, an excellent sound quality which you very rarely expect from computer speakers. Please note that I use a mere inbuilt audio card - no dedicated sound card - and imagine the quality with a dedicated sound card. Overall, I am pretty much satisfied with this product and the service offered by Hifinage. 100% Recommended.

“Beautiful looking, Sweet sounding“ speakers…Not an audio expert to review the speakers, only posting my experience with Swans M10. I’ve owned Logitech, Edifier and Altec Lansing speakers before. Comparing to those, the swans M10 speakers sound very bright and crisp. You can hear the instruments very clearly. Bass is present in adequate quantity, it’s not booming always and not overpowering other frequencies (I really like this and never turns the bass knob post 50%). People who like to shake the room rather than enjoying the music will not like the sub-woofer of swans M10. I like music and its more enjoyable when you are able to hear all the minute sounds that you’ve missed while listening previously with older speaker sets. An important thing to be noted with Swans M10 is their placement, I got the optimum results when they are placed at the ear level. Placement can be tricky since all three units should go at the same level (yes, you cannot put the sub-woofer on the ground). The sound quality of the speakers will improve as they get used more and more. So far I am very happy with the purchase.

Amazing speakersReally great sounding speakers. But two things to keep in mind. 1. Use a good audio source. Drive these speakers from a laptop, and you'll wonder what's the big deal. The onboard audio of a decent desktop motherboard is definitely a big step up. But the sweet spot comes with a dedicated audio solution. I saw a big difference when going from a Dell laptop or Lenovo netbook to the onboard audio (Realtek ALC892) of my Asus mobo. Then upgraded to an Asus Xonar U7. Again a noticeable difference. 2. These speakers are very positional. Place them at ear level to get the best effect. Room acoustics are also important to get a good sound experience. Take some time and effort to get all three (speakers, source and room acoustics) right and you're in for a treat!
