These speakers deliver some really good sound quality. The sound is open and soothing to ears. Best suitable for late-night hearing sessions when there is no other noise to disturb you. Once in such listening session, I was surprised to hear the musical instrument notes extending to extremely low levels with precision and clarity. It even made me panic. Out of the world experience!

Highly recommended in this price range and even a bit higher.

I had been used to the sound of Creative EPs. But, lately, I began searching the market for something with a greater sonic signature. In all the HiFi forums I visited, this pair of speakers got rave reviews. So I decided to purchase them out of good faith. When they arrived, I found them to be quite heavy and somewhat large. In the manufacturer's site, it was mentioned that they had a burn-in period of about 100 hrs. After proper burn-in, I took a good listen to these babies and was immediately blown away by their output. The music I used to listen, had a new dimension added to them. The bass was punchy and authoritative, the mids were well projected and the highs were shimmering with detail. If you are used to listening to music from a cheapo, then the improvement in quality will be noticeable. I used some of my favourite songs for the benchmark in the sound test. I listened to Aphex Twin's selected ambient works for checking the bass. The bass was punchy and well projected. You could feel the beat. For mid-range, I listened to Johny cash, mark Lanegan, tina dico etc. All the finer details of their voice were well captured. For the highs, I played mogwai, godspeed and ulver. These acts are notorious for building dense soundscapes with wildly varying dynamics. Swans handled them pretty well. So, as you can see, the swans score in all departments. Be it clarity, isolation, soundstage...you name it and the swans will deliver it to you. If you are looking to begin your journey as an audiophile, then you need to look no further than this. My guess is, the babies will be the best VFM gadget that you will ever purchase in your life.

Swans M200MKII, First Impressions - I was using Logitech Z-2300. I was quite satisfied with it until I started listing to music! These are good for movies and games where you require floor pounding bass and effects, but seriously they are not meant for music. I was looking for decent speakers under a tight budget of 20K. My first priority was MUSIC. Music should be crisp, clean with proper mid-range and highs. After reading several reviews on the web, forums etc. I finally got settled for audiophile Swans M200MKII. These speakers are large! They took all of my desk space! As I plugged them in my PC, I experienced rich music, tight and punchy bass. The sound was crystal clear. But I was not satisfied! I wanted something more! The only component was missing was the source! i.e. an audio card. For an audio card, there are no second thoughts when it comes to Asus Xonar STX/ST. They are complete value for money. So I got one. After installing the sound card, I tweaked some settings in control panel and player. Thanks to amazing support staff at Hifinage! The music came to life! Previously unheard details are much more evident to heard. It unleashed the true potential of Swans!! I am totally satisfied now. Highly recommend them!
